DIY projects are sometimes exhausting. Not only time but also budget are always scarce. The essence of this project was to renovate an old room into a coffee and cocktail bar with only $1,200. With in the budget, the goal was to resurface the floor, walls and build furniture. The biggest challenge for this project was to schedule the budget in order to get the result we need. Such efforts like grabbing stuff from the street and renting tools from the community center was necessary. Also, reducing on-site work was essential to cut the budget.

Pre-fabricating most of the furniture pieces and get delivered on site was a feasible strategy that could make the project fit in to budget. It saved us time, rental fees, fabrication space and labor costs. Making each furniture pieces to interlock each other was most challenging but a pleasant design exercise.
